ABOUT
Hi, I'm Nicholas Brabhan,
I'm a Licensed CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach, Functional Exercise & Rehabilitation Specialist, and Practitioner of Shamanic Psychology.
My mission is to help guide people in overcoming persistent pain, illness, and mental/emotional challenges while becoming self empowered in living their optimal state of health and well-being.

Early on as a drummer and percussionist and through my own self exploration I began
having experiences of enhanced clarity and awareness, states I knew on a deeper level
were meant to be an integral part of life. Eventually I realized my own health, lifestyle,
and mental emotional challenges were hurdles in maintaining such states of well-being.
It was a continuous battle with myself to have consistent energy and clear mindedness,
having continuous ups and downs, though I knew balance was possible. These
experiences initiated a call to research, learn and embody mindfulness and health
practices to better facilitate and make these enlivened experiences an everyday part
of life.
This path eventually led me to a mentorship with Jungian Psychologist and Shamanic teacher, C. Michael Smith Phd. (Mikkal) . While studying with Mikkal I learned ways of helping myself and others to safely access their inner world of experience using therapeutic strategies, allowing healing at the level of Soul and Psyche. Through my own inner work I saw how my habitual physical health patterns and posture were correlated with the blocks in my own psyche. I saw how healing the psyche was both a mental, emotional, as well as a physical process. All parts needed for the Whole.
This awareness, curiosity, and desire to understand and heal led me into further studies with the CHEK Institute, known as the most advanced and complete Integrated Health & Performance system worldwide, learning in-depth holistic health coaching and kinesiology (the study of the mechanics and anatomy of human movement). This helped give me a truly integrative understanding and skillset to assess the body/mind and guide myself and others to heal in their fullness.
As I observe the trajectory of mainstream society and health care, I clearly see the
importance and need to reclaim our own power of health, well-being, and ability to
care for ourselves and others.
My services are aimed at helping people get clear on their deeper calling in life
and heal the challenges of body, mind, and spirit blocking the way, while putting
the power of one’s health and well-being back in their own hands.

What is a CHEK Practitioner?
CHEK Practitioners are highly-trained health professionals,
renowned for their attention to detail and the results they help
their clients achieve, even when many traditional medical and
fitness approaches have failed. They do this by following the
principles of the CHEK System, the most advanced and
complete Integrated Health & Performance system currently
available worldwide.
CHEK Practitioners are taught a multidisciplinary approach to working with clients and helping them achieve their goals. This involves in depth training in corrective and performance exercise kinesiology, holistic health coaching, and body/mind integration work. They are taught to solve problems and identify what is essential to achieving health and well-being using a variety of comprehensive assessment techniques in order to instruct and carefully design programs customized for a person’s unique needs and desires. Because this is a holistic approach it addresses the whole person, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, since all parts are related and influencing one another.
By looking at each person as a whole and addressing the underlying drivers of illness, CHEK Practitioners guide clients to heal and integrate all aspects of their being, tracing illness back to its source while providing practices that will help a person empower themselves to create health and well-being for the rest of their lives.

What is Shamanic Psychology?
Shamanic Psychology is an integrative approach to health and healing that bridges principles of modern psychology with practices from various shamanic traditions. It views the psyche as a dynamic system of interconnected aspects, including the conscious mind, unconscious mind, and various inner parts. At its core, it emphasizes understanding and caring for the psyche, or soul, a concern central to many of the world’s spiritual traditions.
In shamanic psychology, there is recognition of the many similarities between psychologist Carl Jung’s concepts and the foundational principles of shamanic practice. Both frameworks are organized around a sacred center, a key element that calls individuals to their life purpose and initiates a journey of self-discovery. This journey is crucial for personal transformation and healing.
This practice supports clients experiencing spiritual emergence or crises, helping them
ground themselves in their authenticity, find clarity around obstacles in their lives, and
navigate life’s challenges. It helps one turn these challenging periods into opportunities
for positive change and growth. A supportive framework is offered that integrates the
Sacred in all its transpersonal and archetypal aspects, essential for self-orientation and
guidance.
Practitioners work personally and therapeutically with individuals. Their expertise comes
from a combination of direct experience, inner work, walking their own heart path, working
in non-ordinary and ecstatic states, and drawing on timeless wisdom principles. This
method facilitates transpersonal empowerment, creativity, purpose, and joy in living,
while also fostering a vision of community and service to life.
Shamanic Psychology emphasizes a holistic vision of mental health, transcending conventional therapeutic methods. It aims to heal not just the mind but the whole person in an integral, meaningful, and heart-centered way.
